PERSIA BABAYAN-TAYLOR
BIOGRAPHY
Persia is a British-Armenian-Iranian Director, born in Leeds.
​
Trained at Guildford School of Acting, Persia has worked with notable venues and companies including Theatre by the Lake, Guildford School of Acting, Cumbria Opera Group and Native to Earth. She specialises in Directing Opera and Actor-Musician theatre, and creating performances that are multi-dimensional, engaging and accessible.

In 2025, Persia is thrilled to be Directing The Marriage of Figaro for Cumbria Opera Festival, Anne Lister Teas at Halifax Minster and the regional tour of Swallows and Armenians.
​
In 2024, Persia also completed her Mental Health First Aider qualification, in training provided by Mental Health First Aid England.
